After Friday night’s launch with our host, Janice Long and special panel guests, Dutch Van Spall, Craig Davis, Daniel Alexander and Rob Speranza, the film teams and artists were matched up by random draw- with several teams winning extra kit hire and studio space for the two week period courtesy of sponsors Media Dog Hire, Birmingham Film Hire and Frantic Studios.

Music Video Klub at Centrala to show past winners of 2Weeks2Make It, Fri 19th May

2Weeks2Make It Midlands organiser Carl Timms will be appearing at the Music Video Klub at Centrala, Digbeth this Fri 19th May. As well as explaining about the competition, Carl will be screening past winners from the previous 2010-2013 events as well as this year's winner from the South Yorkshire 2Weeks2Make It competition. 

The event starts at 7.30pm at Centrala, Unit 4 Minerva Works, 158 Fazeley Street, Birmingham, B5 5RT. Free entry.

Media Dog to sponsor 2Weeks2Make It 2017

We’re delighted today to announce that kit hire supremoes Media Dog Hire have joined as our first sponsor for 2Weeks2Make It Midlands 2017! Media Dog, based in Birmingham with additional offices in Manchester and Glasgow, supply cameras, lenses, grip, lighting, DIT and sound equipment for TV, film, commercial, and drama productions all across the UK. They have kindly offered to sponsor a free kit hire package as part of the winning prize for filmmakers; this will form part of a larger prize of the chance to make a video with a budget for an established artist. More details will be released soon!

Media Dog will also be donating kit hire raffle prizes at the launch event, taking place at the MAC on 2nd June, including track and jibs. All filmmakers and musicians present will have the option to participate in the draw and win kit that could make a big difference to their video.
